The Wealth of Nations and Black Talent - Anthropy 2023

At the start of November, the Black Talent Charter was invited to the national leadership conference, Anthropy, at the Eden Project in Cornwall. This is a 3-day summit, at which influential business leaders, political thinkers, activists and thought leaders from multiple sectors come together to discuss ideas to inspire a better Britain.

We brought together a stellar panel including Paul Drechsler CBE (Chair of International Chamber of Commerce UK), Rain Newton-Smith (CEO of Confederation of British Industry) to discuss: ‘The Wealth of Nations and Black Talent - Shaping business and society for the next century.’ We wanted to examine the assumption that ESG and DEI issues are part of a new-fangled, 21st century ‘woke’ culture, and inimical to classical capitalism.
